Hello and welcome to our little corner of the internet!

We’re two former restaurant chefs who’ve swapped clanging pots and late-night line shifts for something a little softer, cozier, and a lot more curious—meet Coco and Pearl, our brand new kittens and constant companions in this new chapter of life.

This blog has been a dream of ours for years. After countless double shifts, burn scars, and unforgettable memories built behind the pass, we decided it was time to slow down, take a deep breath, and bring our love for food, storytelling, and creativity into a more personal space. Our kitchen looks a bit different now—less stainless steel, more cat hair—but our passion hasn’t changed.

Here, you’ll find knowledge from kitchens to kittens, behind-the-scenes stories from our time in the with them, tips for home cooks, and honest reflections as we navigate life outside the chaos of commercial kitchens. You’ll also get plenty of updates on Coco and Pearl, our mischievous sous chefs who think cutting boards are nap spots and that every vegetable is a toy.

We’re learning how to live a bit more slowly, how to write and share without a ticket printer screaming at us, and how to care for these two tiny, wide-eyed creatures who already have us completely wrapped around their tiny paws.

From Kitchens to Kittens — Our Fresh Start Begins!

Coco and Pearl are two kittens bound by a spirit of adventure. Coco, with his fluffy white coat, is always the first to leap into new experiences, hiscuriosity leading the way. Pearl, with her soft silver fur and gentle nature, is his calmer counterpart, always ready to follow and add a thoughtful twist to every escapade. Together, they're inseparable, from chasing shadows to discovering hidden treasures, proving that no adventure is too big or too small when you're best friends forever.
