After nearly 20 years in the restaurant industry, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in tight kitchens, working late into the night, and putting everything we had into the plates we served — we’re finally taking a breath.

This is the beginning of a new chapter for us.

We’re two chefs who have lived the highs and lows of kitchen life. We’ve seen it all: the chaos of Saturday night service, the quiet joy of a perfectly executed dish, the exhaustion that comes after an 14+ hour shift, and the friendships built over shared struggles and burnt fingertips. It’s been beautiful, brutal, and everything in between. And now… it’s time for something different.

Meet Coco and Pearl — our two tiny, fearless, and endlessly curious kittens who’ve recently taken over our home and hearts. With their arrival, and after years of non-stop work, we’ve made a conscious choice to slow things down. We want more long walks, more slow mornings, more meals shared at the table instead of scarfed down over the prep sink.

We’re trading in the clang of sauté pans for the pitter-patter of kitten paws. And we’re ready to rediscover the joy in cooking not for tickets or reviews, but for each other — for the love of food, and the love of sharing it.

We are so thankful. For the years that shaped us. For the people we met along the way. For every hard lesson, every burnt sauce, and every moment of laughter in the walk-in. And now, we’re just as thankful for the stillness we’re learning to embrace.

This blog is a piece of that journey. We want to share some of what we’ve learned — the tricks, the truths, the recipes, and the realness — with anyone who finds their way here. Whether you’re a seasoned cook, a home kitchen adventurer, or just someone who loves cats and comfort food, we hope you feel at home with us.
